These blue topaz stones look like Ceylon sapphires, but they are a fraction of the cost. Setting these in 9ct white gold produced stunning earrings at a modest cost.

Moissanite is the closest material to diamond that there is. Other simulants look unconvincing when they are bigger than about 3mm. Moissanite looks great even in sizes above 6mm and has all the brightness and sparkle of diamond at a fraction of the cost.

These 0.5ct stones would have cost thousands in quality diamonds, but were only hundreds in moissanite.

These really are emeralds, but natural emeralds of this size and quality are very expensive. These are synthetic emeralds, indistinguishable from natural stones to anyone other than an expert. All of the beauty at a fraction of the cost.

This stone looks like a 0.5ct diamond, but it's actually a water-white sapphire. Both are very precious stones, but the sapphire was less than a tenth of the price.
